anyone else triple negative ?
Hey Nadiia
Ah so glad to hear you have finished chemo and have a date for your opp. What are you having?
I had my opp on the 1st April, just under 4 weeks of finishing chemo. I was lucky they pushed it through and i went to a private hospital and stayed for the 1 night. I had a left mastectomy and full node clearance. He got 27 lymph nodes. I'm now concentrating on my exercises so get mobility back in my arm. I'm getting there, just taking it easy every day. I'm not sure on my radiotherapy now, just waiting to get that phone call. They said there may be a delay due to the virus but will call me as soon as.
So been pottering in the garden and enjoying the warm weather.
Yeah i was really scared for my opp esp as my husband couldn't come with me to the hospital as patients only. But all went ok and wasn't as bad as i thought. I went home with the drain and back to hospital 6 days later to have it removed, so all ok :)
Good luck for Tuesday, you'll be fine :) Let me know if there is anything you want to ask before then.
Best wishes
xx

Hey Nadiia
Yeah all a bit scary at the moment but glad its all going ahead and you are at a private hospital too. They are really good and do take extra precautions and look after you well. I was in for 1 night and went home with drains. Hardly any pain, just uncomfortable and strange feelings in my chest and under my arm. I kept up with my pain meds as suggested and if i was late i could feel the pain coming through under my chest and arm. its not as bad as i thought , often we think the worse.
I took paracetomol every 4 hours and ibuprofen 3 times a day for about a week and half.
All the best and thinking of you on Tuesday :)

Hey Nadiia
That's great news opp is all over and you recovering well. I also went in at 9am, the opp took a while with taking out the lymph nodes so was in there for a while. Good news for you that your lymph nodes are clear. Take it easy tonight and eat slowly. i got sick after dinner haha! Probably due to the anaesethic.
I'm enjoying my gardening too, esp as i cant get out exercising. Today i was painting pots. Ah a water wall sounds awesome!
Sleep well

Hi Nadia
Yeah the numb feeling is strange, its still numb for me and under my arm and down the back of my arm actually. It can stay like that for a while. So how did it go removing your drain? Is a strange feeling.
Are you managing ok with the exercises. In the last 10 days my arm has got so much better and i can lift it now, so happy about that.
I sitll have my softie and i wear it with a sports bra and works ok. Not sure when i'll go for a prosethic fitting, guess not a priority for the nhs at the moment, so will see.
Sounds like you are enjoying your gardening, good for you.
Still waiting on news on radiotherpy, they said i should have confirmation this week so fingers crossed!
Hugs xx
