Hi Jules,
Just a quick post. I had a phone call yesterday evening from my sister in Canada to say my late dads partner has died from cancer. She has had it for a few years and like dad put up quite a fight. I never got to meet her
Plus two of my sisters close friends are going through treatment for cancer at the moment. Does it never end!!!!
It just makes me want to do more.
Take care; sending hugs and best wishes, Brian.
Oh Brian, am sorry to read this news. It just seems that with many people living longer there is an even greater number of those suffering with cancer related disease. Just so sad and makes the efforts of people like you and furthering research so crucial for the generations now and to come. My condolences to you and the family. Jules
Hi all
Just a quick update. Whilst visiting Mum this morning the district nurse came to take her usual bloods (she is on warfarin). Late this afternoon I have had a call to say the results caused concern and they have arranged for ambulance to take her to hospital. Still waiting to hear which one! If anything like the last time it was nealy 24hrs before we had contact so hope there is better communication this time even though she usually requests no visitors I still want to know where she is. Jules
Hi jules so sorry 2 read about u mum It such worry not knowing anything hope u hear something soon. Take care sending u big hug x x
Hi Jules,
I am sorry to hear that. Mrs B's warfarin level was also raised yesterday and she has to go back next Monday. Hope you hear what hospital she has been taken too and that they are able to bring the lavel back down.
Take care, sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way, Brian.
Thanks Gemini and Brian
Care home have advised hospital and that she is at least being kept in overnight for more tests/observation. The children are on standby should we need to go up in a hurry. Apparently the 'levels' were the highest they had ever seen hence the ambulance! she is in the best place and they have my contact details so feel a little calmer now. Jules
Big hugs from me too Jules.. take care Sue xx
Thanks Sue,
No news overnight so trying to keep things normal. With my current tickly cough still being a nuisance sleep was short and I will have to await phone call one the doctors rounds are done no doubt,
Have a good day. Jules x
Hi Jules,
Hope you hear soon.
Thinking of you , Brian.
