  • Good morning George

Wow, you had a busy day, felt tired just reading it ha ha.  Love the photo and I am sure Brian will agree that Mrs B would too (she is a lover of owls).  I too did quite a bit of walking as visited my daughter  for a few hours, then walked to shopping centre and then onwards home.  Slight change to original plan(I had been going on a garden centre trip)  but she needed to chat through how to help her six year old with the grieving process. He is only just beginning to talk/cry and will talk to his Dad but says he does not want to upset his Mum any more because she is already sad(even though she says its fine for them all to be upset together).  Its heart-rending stuff but with the support of all the family and his school teacher hope to be able to help him through this difficult period of his life.

Glad to hear that you are managing okay but do hope you get help with your colon problems soon as it would certainly make you more comfortable. Will you soon be off to Angelsey for your four week break or do you need to wait until an appointment comes through? Fingers crossed you will hear soon and get to enjoy a bit of fishing,  Regards Jules x

  • Hi George

Glad you have managed a good day, especially with your 'rat' pal RIA. Hope you hear something sooner rather than later as I am sure you would like to get things arranged. For an elderly gentleman you are doing so very well. Best wishes to you and the family.

I am  meeting a friend for a curry later (not what the doc had in  mind when she told me to keep an eye on my BP I am sure, as should be on sensible eating plan, but this was pre-arranged before 'high reading'  so intend to enjoy it and then 'take myself in hand). It will be strange as have  not been to this particular restaurant since hubby's early diagnosis so could be a bit emotional as know the staff pretty well. Onwards and upwards.  Regards Jules x

  • Hello George

An early start so thought I would chat to my virtual buddies before I set out.  I have a day out with a friend on a coach trip to Tewkesbury and am hoping the weather cheers up a bit. We will still enjoy it. Popped to bingo with another mate last night and finally had the bonus of a win (it will pay  for the whole day out today).

Glad you have worked out the best way for the medication to work for  you (after all you know your body better than anyone) and hope there are not too many aches and pains after  your gardening.  I managed to mow the lawn before the rain yesterday and also cut back a couple of shrubs that were interfering with my washing line!

I do hope you do not have to wait too long for your Angelsey break and that both you and Bev hear about your hospital appointments soon - waiting is rather frustrating.  I go back to GP in six weeks as am home monitoring my BP following a somewhat high reading.

Look after yourself and the rascal Ria. Regards to you and all your wonderful family.Jules x
