Ileostomy Reversal - 5 weeks post surgery and managing o.k, but what will life be like now? Is there any good news?

Good morning.  Am now five weeks post surgery.  Apparently it went very well, clear margins and no need for chemo or radiotherapy.  Managing the Stoma fairly well - one real disaster during a night after the stoma shrank and the bag hole ended up well too big. The stoma nurses had recommended a type of panty to use which contained the leakage reasonably well.  An emergency visit to the stoma nurses, now sorted.

I have read some horror stories of life after a reversal.  More than slightly worrying.

Is there any good news?

What am I really looking forward to.

Thank you.
