Sorry I can't recommend any where in Scotland cos I live way down south but I would recommend that you don't buy online.  You really need to try several wigs on and the fit will vary. You may also need a little trimming.  Personally I have found it better to buy when you have actually completely lost your hair or it will not fit properly when your hair is gone.

Maybe Google good wig shops in the Aberdeen area - I'm sure there are several.

Hi Max thanks for you advice. I got the opinion from my salon that if I ordered one that would be mine, if I don't like it I am stuck with it. Def need to find out more about how to go about this! Hi, I got my wig at Hot Hair, I have looked and there doesn't seem to be any stores north of the border. The wig I got on my voucher from the NHS is very similar to what my hair was. I also bought a shorter wig which was a good price, 20%off too. I would recommend their wigs they are really nice, lots of styles and colours etc. A bit of a long way for you to come though. Hi Di ..... Just googled Trendco where I got 3 wigs and they have a branch in Edinburgh by the look of it. It also says they supply to the NHS. It may be worth calling them to see if they have a branch nearer to you. If not, a few days in Edinburgh sounds nice!

Hi Di-W!  I live in Scotland and  my NHS free wig was from Judy Plum Wigs.  I dreaded wearing a wig as the first time I had breast cancer in 2006 the wigs were just absolutely awful!  I didn't lose my hair first time around as I used the cool cap while getting chemo but I couldn't get it this time around.  I remember being told that the wigs now are super and I thought, yeah, right!  I was totally wrong - my wig was sooo good that lots of people on Facebook (who didn't know my cancer had returned) commented how lovely my hair was looking!  I was so happy with the wig, I got another one!  I'm not going to lie - I wish I hadn't had to wear a wig but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had imagined.  I have had a look on the web and there is a salon called Adriannas in Albyn Grove which stocks Judy Plum wigs.  I don't live in Aberdeen and don't know what the salon is like but perhaps worth a try.  I'd recommend wig tape as the winds are strong in Scotland and it just gives you more confidence!  I'd love to hear how you get on!

Good tip about the tape, I really don't fancy chasing my wig down the street on some of the windy days we get! Brilliant that your wig received so many compliments and people thought it was your new hairdo! x

Wig ordered from Hot hair! Not sure if it will be suitable or if I will indeed lose my hair but prepared just incase! Went for something completely different- instant new hairdo if I need it and I like it....thank you!! X 

Hello Di, I am pleased you have found a wig you like. You are prepared in any case if you need it. If not you have a 'new look'. When I went to choose one I still had my hair which they tied back to try wigs on. I didn't choose straight away went the week after, I wanted to make sure I had it for when the inevitable happened. I also bought cotton beanies which are ideal in the house or with a woolly hat on top if it's really cold. I will let you know of the website if you decide on them. I hope you get your results soon, the waiting is indeed awful. I found once I knew what the plan was I just wanted to get on with it. I had cycle 6 of chemotherapy last Wednesday, so still feeling a bit unwell. I Dreaded it as I live on my own, to be honest looking back it really is doable. I hope you are managing to keep yourself occupied and hope the MST meeting is this week x
