Cryoablation for breast cancer

As anyone had Cryoablation for a breast cancer lump without surgery

  • Hi, I would also like to know more about where this can be done - the cryoablation for breast cancer, please.

    Many thanks

  • No answers for the many questions posted after your comment? I too would be interested to know. This is one of the options I'm researching for my wife's Stage 1-2 Grade 2 IDC.

  • Hi,

I haven't, but I have looked into it fairly thoroughly and what I found was that it is a good option if it is clear that the cancer has not spread, even microscopically.  Because otherwise there is a high chance of reoccurance.  I also understand that the cancer lump dies off but becomes a hard lump, which you may be able to feel.

  • Hi lovely,

I'm feeling under so much pressure. Could you please give me details about this and how much it cost you. I can't tell how grateful I would be for this information.

    Thank you

I have been on quite a few fb groups and also contacted some drs re cryo. So the drs i found, Prof vogl in germany, once clinic in spain and Dr yilmaz in turkey. The turkish dr is about 3/4k per freeze. The usa drs vary as some are radiologist and some surgeons. I have been quoted by surgeons between 5 and 8 k per freeze. one freeze is about 2cm and they freeze extra tissue.

Not read any negative about cryo and side effects so hoping to go soon.
