Following My last Radiotherapy session on May 7th I honestly thought I was on the highway to health . A routine blood test showed elevated liver enzymes further blood tests showed raised GGT levels which can mean non alcoholic fatty liver disease NAFLD....To say I’m in shock is an understatement!!!?
Being an amateur doctor has always been 1 of my favourite hobbies so of course I had to research. Shockingly 63% of newly diagnosed breast cancer sufferers have been found to have this but insufficient research has been done to identify why this is the case . I want to question my GP .. can it be caused by Letrozole or Radiotherapy? But I know he won’t have the knowledge. There is also some evidence that the fatty liver ...which can be inherited ..is a factor in causing the cancer originally .
So get your enzymes checked ladies as mine was discovered purely by accident!!!
