I went to a different hospital.I have quite a rare cancer so asked to see the main specialist in the UK for my type of cancer. For the most part I'm quite happy with the care I've received from my regular hospital. Yes I've heard of cyber knife. I'm part of a Facebook group for it. X
Oh I can understand why you needed to see a main specialist for your cancer ... you've done amazing especially with a rare cancer...
I was told today that the met on my liver is uncategorised at the mo so a pet scan will show more but maybe op not needed so will see ... I'll let you know!! Thanks so much for answering all my questions I shall keep note for when or if I needed a second liver resection x
ive heard from liver team they want me to have a pet scan and would be a resection very close to where my last one was .. once I get to speak to surgeon I shall see if they can possible open up small part of original scar ... can only ask!! As I know what to expect hoping line you said maybe easier recovery ! xxx
I would think they would go in through the same scar..they may need to reopen the whole scar or just part of it or they may need to extend the original one. Good luck with the PET scan Xx
