  • Hi Lovely,

Its an an amazing feeling when you have one to go isn't it? I was quite emotional saying goodbye to the wonderful staff but walked out of there feeling a massive weight had gone!!!
That Medi honey is brilliant isn't it!!!

Sleep and relax ready for the last one as the tiredness kicks in again as radiotherapy takes a while to leave your body....

Have a relaxing weekend, love and hugs xxx

  • Hi lovely

just wanted to check all is going well with you?  I'm 11 days post radiotherapy and although still struggling to sleep starting to get my mojo/energy back.  Just done first full week of work back in the office rather than working from home so it was lovely seeing everyone.  Skin almost back to normal, little ache by the lymph node incision but overall I'm happy.

    big hugs xx

  • Hi there both of you, hope everything is good. Went to see The oncologist the other day. All is well and next appt is mammogram in September. I am still very blue and he said it would take a long time to go. Had that done in August

The bad news is that my DEXA scan has shown osteoporosis In spine and hip so will have to take Alendronic Acid. Don't know how that reacts with Anastrazole, bearing in mind I've been getting some quite bad side effects from that at the moment.

speaking to GP on Monday so will see what he says

Havea good weekend both of you and speak soon

    Love Mary xx

  • Hi ladies

  • Hi JBee,

Lovely to hear you are doing well, don't worry about being on the tablets as the oncologists don't seem worried at all about getting on them quickly.....I've got oncologist again next week to discuss different tablets so I'm not on anything at the moment and still waiting for Dexa results from middle of December!!

Im sleeping tons better and feeling tons better in myself energy wise!!
Roll on 6 weeks time when I go away for 2 weeks, girls only holiday!!

Take care and loads of love, keep in touch xxx

    Hi Jbee,

I hope you are recovering well. I have been diagnosed with invasive ductual cancer grade 2 also have a 3cm.

op planned for a few weeks manages them to do a particularly 1/2 Brest removal for now, they will take some lymph node & awaiting her2 tests etc

they said I will have radiotherapy and hit one treatment but they are not sure if chemo depends on the above 2 test results.

can I ask how the process when for you please ?

? How are you feeling now ?? Any info would be really helpful please

    Hello

im doing really well thank you. Recovered from surgery and radiotherapy surprisingly quickly and pain free for me.  I've been on tamoxifen now for about six months with no sides affects at all.  I'm supposed to be on them for 5/10/years.  The surgery I found was quick, pain free (I didn't even need painkillers), obviously you need to be careful that you don't over do things, the exercises are a must.  Follow the drs instructions.  I was scared about radiotherapy as it was an unknown to me, but I was amazing how quick and pain free it was.  The hospital gave me their cream to use to keep the breast area soft and stops any dry cracking, very good cream.  Had some tiredness but overall I continued through all this whilst working.

hope this helps and I wish you a speedy pain free journey, please keep us updated

    xx
