bad:- well the chesterfield renovation project is looking .... worryingly....... the absolute Pitts :cry: Ive started so I’ll finish :D  thought 2 days filling  nd sanding would be enough but it was so bad needs more eeek. Asked fbook peeps if any of them have tried anything like this too ...... no one has.... I have thanked them for their supportive remarks ( they have all taken the mick :D :| :D ) oh well onwards nd... well... onwards :D

It’s a deep buttoned chesterfield sofa and a chair t boot. Covering is more beyond me than .... this sad attempt. According to YouTube it’s a doddle to do what I’m doing :D​​​​​​ YouTube lies. :D

they owe me nothing I bought them new 40 yrs ago... if I’d looked after them better they would have still been going strong.... own fault.

ill see this through to the end cos I’m no quitter ;) Will post a pic of it literally finished lol . Another wks worth of work cos of drying times. Hey keeps me busy ;)

Hi chrissie you just mentioned that dreaded word, our grandson just came round and brought his three boys with him youngest is 4 eldest is 8 there into every thing, luckily we got a through the floor lift last year and the kids love it it keeps them occupied it's nice to see them but it's ever so quiet when they've gone.

Aw ta muchly dragonfly..... it’s interesting nd a fun project but it’s still looking...... disastrous lol. 

You know the say it’s has to get worse before it gets better.... that’s the bit I’m at ... the worse lol. I hope to fulfill the 2 nd bit soon ;) x

Yup got the dye paint nd the sealer for after. I’ve just finished another layer of filler. Lots of cracks nd a couple of split seams. Hoping to get first layer of the dye on tomorrow ( says to do 5 coats .... sigh). Looks a mess but still a bit optimistic it will turn out..... erm finished :D

not sure if it’s better or not that it’s not a solid colour ( it’s a distressed leather ..... well bought new distressed but it’s gone beyond now lol). So don’t want a flat solid  finish... its supposed to look a bit patchy so will be dabbing on with a sponge. 

Im actually enjoying doing it.... whatever the outcome it’s kinda fun :)

Afternoon peeps 

bad :- sofa looks a sad plight still.

good :- another layer of sanding and filling of sofa early this morning. Then to daughters waiting in for a delivery of her new sofa for the extension they have built while she takes girls t school.

Then waiting for tv to b delivered for same room but went beyond delivery time nd when daughter rang they said they had a problem at depot so not getting delivered till Thursday ( she is sucking it up co when she ordered it they rang to say they were having probs getting that particular model did she want money back or would she accept next model up at no extra cost ( £300 more) she went for the free upgrade lol. 

Next we went t shops nd then for a late lunch. It’s felt a busy day lol .
