thank you currently still in hospital for an extra night because my temperature is high, apparently that's normal after brachytherapy, but who would think walking across the corridor would break you out in a sweat lol

i have radio, chemo, MRI and braccy measure up today. Feel like a stroppy teenager, cannot muster the energy or enthusiasm to get dressed! I know it's all nearly over but still not a great list for one day!!
Did you get burning in your bits from the radio? Oh my, so uncomfortable

I'm home and resting but not recovered . I did have energy towards the end as well so it's not just you but you've got slot on in one day bless you.
Yes my bits did burn, I used E45 cream and it did help but then I told my consultant prescribed a cream called Flamazine which you can only get from the consultant or doctors, far as I can make out you can't get it over the counter. It only lasts for 7 days once opened so I've 5 tubes of it and it works for me .
I hope I bounce back soon as I am itching to back to work but I went with hubby to the supermarket last Saturday think we were there for a hour or so and after it I was shattered, not sure really how to build my energy back up. I have a check up in 6 weeks time so I hope to back at in 4 weeks but maybe I am expecting too much .
Last week wasn't a good week till Friday when my brother came down to see me :)
i had hardly ate anything then Friday morning I got up and ate a bowl of cereal, lunch time I had ham, tomato and mayonnaise sandwich and for tea I had a curry but did eat it all lol my brother came in the afternoon and ever since I had been on the up, I feel like my normal self , of course I am feeling tired but no more then I did when I was working I want to go back to work but everyone keeps saying take your time and don't rush back, yes I know my health comes first but we need money, we're ok this but next month is going to be a struggle, we had a grant from Macmillan, we tried for housing benefit and help with council tax but they won't help us. I am going to go and talk to my manager soon because we cannot going on like this, because money wise is stressing me out and makes me cry sometimes but now I am feeling really good I want to go back but as I said people will say I am rushing back to soon but they are not in our position.

I have eat days then yesterday my daughter did a roast, I ate well then a brisk walk to the loo as it all felt as if it had gone straight through!

I know what you mean about money. I didn't meet any of the terms, I got nothing but a parking permit for the hospital. I'm off till October so Christmas is cancelled!
I understand they have to make sure you need the money but we are off work with extra pressure and spending, course we need a bit of cash arghhh.
Has yours gone now? How often are your checkups? Will you have the examination under general later?
Do rest, don't go back too soon and risk a relapse
my ssp note runs out mid October I think, I am going to go in and see my work friends soon so I check the date ssp note runs out, but I think I will ask at the check up when I can go back and I think they will probably say it's up to you, if so I may go back oct 9th.
My first check up I think will be first week in October and then 6 weeks after than then I think it goes to 3 months up a year after treatment then I am not sure after that. My first check up I think I am having a MRI scan done.
I had a MRI scan on 21/8 and I was told that they couldn't see the tumour so that's good, my body responded really well to the treatment:)
