Sarcoma

I'm just turned 40, live in N.Wales and im a nurse. I'm living with my partner and his 3 children, all girls so kind of a Stepmum. I was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma on R Thigh in March, this is a rare cancer. Things moved so fast, had surgery 6 weeks ago and having Radiotherapy soon.
I feel like a different person than I was, lost weight, confidence don't feel like ME anymore! Can anyone else relate to this? Please x

  • My dad aged 64 has been diagnosed with de-differentiated metastatic Chondrosarcoma in right thigh bone femur. After biopsy it has metastasized to LUNGS size (1.8 cm x 1.4 cm) and FEMORAL INGUINAL LYMPH NODES within 20 days. Three days ago his bone with tumour (femur) fractured and now we are left with two options either rod insertion or amputation. With rod, chemotherapy wont be possible until the muscle heals properly. Along with that he has persistent high BP 165/110 high pulse 118 . On ECHO he has Little percardial effusion + hypokinesia with only 35% EJECTION FRACTION.  We are only left with the option of amputation as the rod insertion will spread it further to other organs . Please suggest what should we do? Thanks
