I would be grateful  on advice  as to how much time I should need off work after removal of a small tumor and some lymph nodes.   I am waiting for the results of that and an appointment for radiotherapy I was given  a 2 week standard sick note and informed that I need to contact my GP for anything else. My friend  who has been through it herself,  was extremely shocked that it was only 2 weeks.  Also  a member of staff in hospital said that I should take longer to recover properly.  May I ask what was right for anyone in a similar situation?
