Hi Davek.As i have said in this forum my dad has oesophagus cancer could i ask a question please Dad keeps bringing up white bubble spittle.He has it all the time and has started to lose weiht again even though he is on build up drinks and eating soup.Did you get this and if so did you manage to stop it happening.Thanks in advance Karen

I'm not a doctor, but that sounds like classic acid reflux symptoms. Worth chatting to his GP about it -  my GP prescribed Omeprazole to control similar symptoms.

my 58 year old husband has OC, and due to a pre exsisting medical condition was unable to undergo surgery. His oesophagus became completely obstructed in Oct 2015 and he had to have a jejunostomy for feeding. The saliva that couldn't get into his stomach would build up and was frothy due to the gulping down of this. He had to regurgitate this several times a day (which was distressing), unlike vomit (sorry) it wasn't acidic because there was no stomach contents that could come up. Following radiotherapy in Jan/Feb the tumour seems to have shrunk  as he can now tolerate fluids and some solids again. It's now a waiting game before he has further CT scans to see what stage the tumour is at now. Good luck for your dad, it's a lonely country that we carers inhabit. I have been surprised by the lack of understanding of some people. At least here there is plenty of support.

Hi Cazann.Thanks for your good wishes hope all goes well with your husband.Dad is hopefully having another endoscopy because they think his stent might be blocked.So hopefully we will have some news soon
