Red patch on my bladder

Had a cystoscopy on Monday and they saw a red patch on my bladder. I have researched it could be an infection , which I show no signs of at the moment or cancer. I have to wait 2/4 weeks before called back to clinic. Has anyone had this happen to them please?

  • Hi there Steeleydan, welcome to the forum. I have to wonder when these doctors are going to realize that when they tell us nothing about what is going on, our stress and anxiety go through the roof. Not knowing what it is they are checking us for, doesn't help us at all. Its' good that they are following up with another apt. for you because at least they are checking you out real good. I know its' hard waiting, but you need to make a list of questions before that apt. coming up. Hopefully, its' nothing to worry about, but even if it is, at least they will find out and get right on to it. Fingers crossed that everything is OK.

Come back on here and let us know how things turn out for you.

    Good luck.

  • Hi Lorraine

thanks for the reply this last month been hell

i had/got this thing my sister died last week due to

accident she had 8 years ago which left her paralysed

from the neck down unable to talk not sure if she knew who any of us was

the next day wife missed her step on the stairs broke her ankle in 2places

then my other sister was rushed in suspected heart

attack but turned out to be angina

things can only get better (I hope)

  • Hi there Stealey, gee if you didn't get bad news, you wouldn't get any news at all. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's accident and the long eight years that followed for her, and of course, all of you. It must have been really difficult to watch your sister in that state where you really couldn't communicate with her at all. So sad. Your wife breaking her ankle certainly would have added to the stress and then your other sister with a possible heart attack. Surely, the only way to go for you now is up to better things. Crossing my fingers for you.

Come back to the forum after your apt. and let us know the outcome of your follow-up.

    Take care.

    Lorraine

  • hi Sue,

I went last Friday and the Consulatmt told me he saw red patches in my bladder. He gave me two months to come back against my wishes to have early apppointment. What is worrying that he said next test will be again to see what is happening to red patches anly third one he will do biposy. It seems money making making scheme as ir is not NHS.

    Any advice

    Mnic

  • Just been told I have red blotches in bladder. They have taken samples and I have to wait 2 weeks for results

  • Hi. I am just wondering how your results went?

  • I had a cystoscopy last week and some red patches were found. The doctor referred to lesions on the bladder in a letter to my GP. I am having a biopsy next Monday. I have akready had bladder cancer and I am receiving Bladder washes. Beedless to say I am worried the cancer has returned.
