Stomach Cancer surgery - has anyone had this and what was life like after?

My husband has been diagnosed with stage 2 stomach cancer options are surgery 2/3 stomach removed.

It has taken from 7th January to find this out from 1st biopsy.

Has anyone had this surgery and what is life like after
