Possibility of Bone cancer following therapy for prostate cancer (successful I think)

Finished therapy (radio and hormone) for prostrate cancer in February and according to PSA appears to have been successful. However in June had tremendous breast-bone pains lasting two weeks which have slowly eased to become a general ache as of September. The pain continues to reduce.

Am concerned about the possibility of bone cancer.

  • Hello, and thank you for posting.

It is not unusual to have aches and pains even once treatments finish, and these can take time to settle down.

I'm glad that things have improved, but if you remain concerned, do contact someone in your hospital team, like a specialist nurse (CNS), to let them know. They can then decide if these need to be investigated further.

Take care and if you would like to talk to the nurses call 0808 800 4040. Lines are open mon-fri, 9-5.

    Sarah.
