  • Hello Coulsden54

I'm sorry to hear that you're currently undergoing targeted treatment for bowel and lung cancer after completing such a long period of chemotherapy. I hope that this new treatment brings some positive news for you and the side effects aren't too harsh.

It sounds like you're approaching these new changes with a positive mindset and I know that many of our members will understand how helpful this approach can be.

We have some general information about skincare and make-up during cancer treatment on our website, which you may find helpful, but I'd also suggest getting some clarification from your specialist about what it is that you need to avoid. It may be that you can use make-up or skin care that is designed for sensitive skin, or perhaps there are specific ingredients that they suggest you avoid. It may be a case of trial and error to see what suits your skin. There's also some helpful information on the Look Good Feel Better website, including courses that may be running in your local area.

If it would help to chat things through with one of our nurses, you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I wish you well with your new treatment regime Coulsden54.

    Best wishes,
