Cancer diagnosis: I have been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour

Hi my name is Karen and I have been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour. I was coping ok with it but I was asked to have a cryoglobulin blood test and from that I have been urgently referred to the neurologist clinic but I don't know why. I am really scared and worried and I don't know who to talk to.

  • Hi KMMurray,

A very warm welcome to Cancer Chat and I am sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour and that you have been urgently referred to the neurologist clinic. I am not sure why you have been referred to see a neurologist but if you ask your GP or medical team they might be able to tell you more as to why you need to see this specialist. Feel free also to ring our cancer nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I thought I would also let you know about another member  's thread on neuroendocrine cancer from just a few days ago which you are welcome to respond to if you wish as it can help to talk to others who are currently going through something similar.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have also had a similar diagnosis and I just wanted you to know you are not alone here on the forum and we are all there to listen and comfort you during this anxious time.

    Best wishes,

    Lucie, Cancer Chat Moderator
