That's a lot to cope with. Sending strength
Hi Paula_58...such a difficult situation for you all, family member has very recently gone through the same trauma.. sometimes it's a case of taking each day as it comes, allowing everyone to navigate as best they can.. in our case the decision was made when the patient became too unwell to receive palliative home-care...a decision nobody wanted to make but thought has to be given to the family..wanting someone to stay at home can be traumatic and very distressing, obviously...
Take care of yourself, I hope you have support ..
thankyou , so kind
thankyou for your kind words. It’s heartbreaking and my mum is adamant that she can cope, i’ve no idea how bad this will be but i know it will become harder
Perhaps you have someone who is able to talk to your Mum, does she have a Fairh, a close friend or possibly a Doctor she trusts.. it is possible that your Mum will feel she has let her Hubby down if he goes into a Hospital or Hospice. . the bond, promise they have made to each other is very powerful especially now.. you are worried about how bad this will become, which is natural and normal.. the effect and impact on you all, if your Dad stays at home... professional help, care, support and understanding are vital right now, for all of you..essential when the time comes for your Dad to be at peace...
I hope you have someone to support you x
i am her support, we are all so scared. We have the support of the hospice nurses, who have been wonderful, it’s the unknown of it all x
It was support for you I was concerned about.. the Nursrs are invaluable, I was hoping there would be someone to hold your hand x
bless you, thankyou, i’ll be ok, my mum is my worry, it’s their 60th wedding anniversary today, she’ll be so lost x
