23 years free of cancer.

A member of this forum for many years, mainly supporting breast cancer and colon cancer sufferers. For some reason I stopped accessing the forum and therefore less contact with members. I have continued to receive the odd email. Today I received the news of a new format which has prompted me to become involved once more. I also wonder how many members ate on the forum from all those years ago and indeed the moderators.
Isobel.

  • Hi Isobel

Exactly the same for me. Stopped using the site a few years ago but notification of new format prompted me to rejoin.

Original cancer still under observation with no evidence of recurrence. However plenty of other health issues have restricted my abilities with just MDS the only vaguely cancer related.

I do recognise some old names especially the ever helpful Jolamine (hi J).

I'm happy to dip in more regularly.

    Take care, Dafra (David)

  • Hi Isobel, welcome back to the forum. I've only just joined but hoping I can be here a while, God willing, and hopefully be able to offer some support myself for others.

    Nice to meet you ^^

  • Hi David,

It's great to see your name on the forum again - welcome back! I'm delighted to hear that you've had no evidence of recurrence, although sorry to hear of your other health issues. I look forward to hearing more from you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine

  • Hi Rodis,

It’s very uplifting to hear your story, and great that you’re on the forum again.  I’m relatively new here and 18 months post BC (so far so good), To hear your experience really does give a boost of positivity.  It’s been hard sometimes living with the fear of recurrence but I suppose we all have to deal with that in our own way.

    Best wishes,

    Mary x
