32 is no age to be facing the end of my life!

I posted a bit a few weeks ago about a lump I had found, I am no stranger to cancer and hve been documenting my journey and I am now, I think, documenting the end of my life.

The spread I have now is extensive and I haven't even had my full results yet. Containing it seems impossivble now, but I am looking at being positive as much as I can be.

I have a video diary on YouTube that can be seen here: PeeWeeToms and I keep a blog of it all.

I was misdiagnoses years ago and due to that I am now the one dying. Terribly unfair, but I hope I can help others as it happens. I really do :)

  • Hey sweets.. I have seen a few of your blogs... Just wanted to say your mint heart of a warrior and bloody brave as a lion!!  Hugs hun x

  • Hiya Dan.  I imagine quite a few people here are also keeping up with your postings on other forums.  So sorry that things are not going well and we are going to be rooting for you for as long as you are fighting - which with luck and love we hope we hope will be a bit longer yet.

  • Hi, What an inspiration you are!  Sending big hugs.  Sue

  • Sorry to have to report that Dan has today died. "A Message from the Thomas Family  Don't give in! Don't give up!" is.a video on YouTube made by all of his immediate family today.  In the last week Dan posted two videos from the hospice in which he was clearly failing fast.  So now he has gone and his pain has stopped.

  • I was shocked to hear this news tonight Annieliz thank you for letting us all know. I had, like many on this forum, followed Dan's blog and been deeply moved by it and I am sad to hear he passed away this afternoon. A brave inspirational young man he will be very much missed.

Our thoughts are with his family at the moment and with his newly wedded wife. As Annieliz said, it is at least comforting to know that his pain has stopped now as he really seemed unwell in his recent videos.

Sincere condolences from the Cancer Chat team,

    Lucie

  • Hiya,

I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but I think it is amazing what you have done, documenting your journey, I think thats so brilliant, I know I don'd know you but im proud of you! I know in one of your videos you said one of the reasons you document is to allow yourself to understand whats happening and a way to get through it but it must be so hard at times if not all the time to make a video about your feelings and what you're going through. I think its fantastic wanting to help others and I believe you definitley do. I think your blog is brilliant, I have just suscribed to it, and I find your videos inspirational already. Do remember though that we are here for you too :)

Life can be awful sometimes but I think you have the best outlook, staying positive, spending quality time with family, friends and just doing things you really love, making the most of every second. I am sending huge hugs to you and your family.

Thank you for all you have done, your blog, your positivity, your passion to help others.

  • May your blogs go on forever ...  to a friend I never met ... the world has a great big hole in it now...

    NEVER FORGOTTEN ... Chrissie

  • Those of us who followed Dan's cancer journey will be saddened to hear of the sudden death of the Professor who was Medical Director at a hospital in London.  Dan was allowed to film one of his sessions with this Professor - a lovely man and a great doctor.  His death appears to have been related to a yellow fever jab he had yesterday.  RIP.
