Dad been diagnosed steroids as end of life treatment to make him more comfortable. He can only take for four weeks. After one day of them he has perked up and is eating. I just dread him dipping again after four weeks.
Am so sorry to hear this news about your Dad. Yes the steroids perk them up.. My husband doesn't have a lot of time left and he is on the steroids plus once or twice a week they give him IV fluids. I hate when they start to crash... I feel for you.
Hi Sally, It's just so hard to watch isn't it. Can I ask what age your husband is? How long has he had cancer for. It's just so sad, they fight for so long and it's just hard watching them deterioriate and you feel helpless. I would cut my arm off if it would help my dad. I'm at the point now I do wish some nights he would go to sleep and just drift off. It's terrible admitting that but I just don't want him to suffer x
