Seeking Advice on TP53 Mutation Treatments for Gastric-Type Cervical Adenocarcinoma

Hello, my mom was diagnosed with gastric-type cervical adenocarcinoma, and her genetic testing revealed a TP53 gene mutation (p.R175H). Her report mentioned potential targeted therapies like adavosertib (AZD1775) and olaparib. I’m hoping to connect with others who might have experience or knowledge about these drugs or any other promising treatments for TP53 mutations.

  • A very warm welcome to the forum xiangf, although I'm sorry to hear your mom has been diagnosed with a gastric-type cervical adenocarcinoma.

We do have some information about olaparib on our website, but to find out more about this and adavosertib it would be best to give our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and with their knowledge and insight they will do all they can to answer your questions about the treatment that has been suggested and any others you may have about your mom's diagnosis.

Hopefully some of our members who have experience of these targeted therapies will be along soon to share their experiences and advice, but in the meantime we're sending you both all our support and wishing your mom all the best with her treatment.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
