Feelings - Struggling to stay strong after second chemo

I had my second chemotherapy on Wednesday. Apart from the first day I have felt absolutely horrible. Aches, pains, nausea' and anything else it can throw at me. the thought of having to do it a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th time is unbearable!! I’m normally quite strong but seem to be a bit of a lightweight at the moment. I’ve started the walk challenge but even that isn’t keeping me distracted!! I admire you all. I must keep strong but definitely not succeeding at the moment. Lots of love to everyone. Xx

  • Hi Ritab,

I'm sorry to hear you've not been feeling good with this. This is definitely something many others here will be able to relate to, and you certainly shouldn't feel like you're being a lightweight. It is a lot to be dealing with so try to give yourself credit for this and try to take it as easy as you can or as you need to.

It is a bit cliched but also try to take things one day - or less - at a time. Step by step, and try not to think about all of it all at once. Also try to find positive distractions, for example finding time to focus on things you enjoy, however simple.

As you know we are always here for support on the forum if ever you need it.

Take care and wishing you all the best,
