Luminal B Her2 positive HR positive 5mm-no chemotherapy?

Hi community,

I am 38 years old and recently underwent a conservative breast surgery where all tissue of an CDIS has been removed with sufficient security margins and 1/1 node negative.

However, a tiny piece of 5mm already turned into an invasive cancer. Classification pT1aN0M0, Luminal B Her2+, HR+, grade 3, node negative.

2 breast specialists won't go for any further chemotherapy treatment due to limited benefits over possible disadvantages.

Oncologist recommended 12 weeks of Paclitaxel following 1 year Trastuzumab. So far, I understood that treatment impacts only 5 % to total cure and he got very quiet about side effects. A lot of recent studies do not recommend chemotherapy anymore. I do not know what to do . My case seems to be a bit of a rare situation and no one knows really what to do.

Trastuzumab is not administered on it's own because it's not the standard therapy.

I felt super healthy after surgery and getting sick just now and even more by an aggressive treatment.

Where I can find further information?

What would you recommend or decide ans why?

Anyone in the same or has gone through a similar Situation and can help with own experiences?

Have a lovely day

I had BC last year ber2 negative

I chose to have the Oncotype DX test to see if chemo would benefit in my case it wouldn't have

    good luck love Lara ️

  • Hi Lara,

Many thanks for sharing your experience!
Unfortunately Her2+ is not considered for the Oncotype DX test :(, damn.

Wishing you all the very best!

oh no , I'm sure the dukes changed on the Oncotype nlt so long ago to include her2 positive if you could maybe ask your oncologist

I really hope you will feel happy with your end decision

    lots of hugs Lara ️

  • Hi Lara,

ohhhh really? I will definitely ask the Oncologist tomorrow.  Thanks so much for bringing that up.

It's important to be happy even in difficult times. Life is up and downs. Sometimes being pushed out of the comfort zone leads to discover new ways and goals. My prognostic is excellent (even with Her2+) and therefor I feel grateful. Maybe I get the Oncotype chance to have things more clear.

Lots of thanks and love to you!
