Lost my husband, struggling to support my son

I lost my husband to lung cancer sept 2019 now my 20 yr old son has just turned around to me and said he thinks he is transgender after being with his girlfriend for 2 yrs .  Never saw this coming I need to support him as so close but how do I keep up my strength for this ! I am so shocked but I know my husband would have supported him .  Don’t think I could take anymore pain .

    don't be sorry at all for your post

    we're all on here because of cancer, I lost my dad in January, I'm lying on the sofa while my kids dad is dying of cancer 

    this is a site for cancer, and also advise, reaching out for HELP to. 
    you have not said you are losing your son just struggling with him  taking  a new path in life.

    thank you for your reply such nice words too.  I am deeply sorry to here what you have been through and what you are now experiencing  .  Life can be so hard I do hope you can get help and support.  I have told nearly all my family about my son wanting to be transgender and all are supporting him for this change .   I know his dad would has supported him to .  How old are your children? Thinking if you .
