Partner newly diagnosed with oesophageal cancer - what can we expect from his first oncology appointment tomorrow?

Hi there, my partner has only recently been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and we have our first oncology appointment tomorrow. 
he has had a stent put in but I am worried they will keep him in as he really isn’t eating well and is still in a lot of pain, the stent was put in about 11 days ago.

what should I expect from tomorrow’s meeting?

    I just wanted to stop by to wish you and your partner all the best with his first oncology appointment.

    Our cancer nurses will reply to you as soon as they can tomorrow but if your appointment is quite early in the morning, it may be best to give them a call instead on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines will be open from 9a.m and they will do all they can to answer your questions and help you feel more prepared for your meeting.
