Looking for support - just been diagnosed with nasal cancer

Hi

I've just been diagnosed with nasal cancer and struggling to cope as I don't feel I have anyone to talk to who understands what I am / going to be going through.

I have plenty of friends & family,  but thankfully non have any experience of this and I'm struggling.

Is there anyone to all to with experience of this? I just don't know where to turn.

Regards

Tracy

  • Hi Tracy and thank you for your email

I am sorry to hear about your situation and imagine this is a very difficult time you are trying to navigate.

It is good you have friends and family to support you but I can understand you wishing to find some other people who have or are going through similar to you.

Hopefully there will be some other patients on here who can reach out to you and share their experiences. We also have a list of nasal and paranasal cancer resources and support organisations on the website that you may also like to look at and connect with for support.

I'm not sure if you have a specialist nurse at the hospital you are under but you could also ask them if they have any other patients that you could talk with for peer support.

You can also look up local cancer support to you in your area by postcode on the Cancer Care Map website.

I hope you are able to find some like minded people to journey alongside you at this time who understand what you are going through.

Please do get back in touch anytime and if you would like to speak with one of us nurses we are here week days 9-5 on 0808 800 4040.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Naomi
