Restless legs after having chemo, now I can't sleep

Chemo for breast cancer 9 days ago, it’s been hell. Now I can’t sleep as my legs won’t keep still.

  • Hi there, and thank you for your post

I am sorry to hear about you needing to have chemotherapy and the way it is making you feel.

This must be a difficult time for you, and it is important you let the chemo nurses know about the side effects you are having so they can help manage these.

Restless legs isn't uncommon, I'm afraid, but things like getting a good bedtime routine, avoiding caffeine in the evenings, and light stretching and exercises can sometimes help.

As I say, speak to your team so they can assess you and advise you further.

    Take care

    Naomi
