Worried about symptoms

Hi,

im new to this and am not really sure what I need other than some practical advice. 
I'm late 40's and had been on the pill for many years therefore hadn't had a period for as long as I remember. In Jan 2021 I started getting cramps, long story short I was diagnosed with 2 uterine fibroids @2cm. In Sept 22 I started bleeding, a mix of pink, red, brown and black with clots along with awful cramps. Went to GP who said it would be the fibroids and that they weren't concerned because at my age they'll start to shrink. Fast forward to Feb 23, I'm still bleeding and my symptoms are very different. I've no idea about weight lost but I'm 3 holes down on my belt, I have terrible daily cramp, pain in my hips, particularly left side and my back and legs. Bleeding post sex now and I'm so swollen and bloated I'm just not sure what to do. I had my 3 yearly smear last week, when I had three days of no bleeding, but the nurse said it coukd take 6 weeks for results. I'm really worried about the increase in my symptoms and feel like k should be doing something but I don't know what. 
 

I've convinced myself I've got cancer, something just isn't right. I don't smell like me, it's not a bad smell but it's not my smell. Any advice or similar situations?

    That's good to hear, your bloods are normal and you aren't in the menopause. A day if achieving what with booking scans too. Hopefully you won't have to wait long - everything crossed for you.

    it's sounds comforting that the cyst is just small and normal looking too.

    im cramping today and have expected blood all day but nothing has appeared.... yet. Watch the floodgates open

    Bless them, it is difficult and they do mean well. I think I'm just over sensitive, esp until tomorrow evening when I see the consultant. I'll keep you posted.

    Yes although that was only my hormone levels they checked to basically see if I was menopausal and check the quality of eggs, my other bloods that I'm due to get on the 10th of March hopefully will show up more about what's going on with my body.

    Ah it's horrible waiting for the bleeding to start again, I've actually been feeling wet all day but thankfully nothing so far. I'm dreading my actual period next week.

    Just think by this time tomorrow hopefully you will have an idea of what's going on

    Hi,

    I had my consultant appointment last night. Not sure how I'm feeling today. 
    My scan showed that my uterus lining was 22cm and I have a large polyp and no fibroids. I'm assuming they've just disappeared? He doesn't believe my symptoms present as cancer and was more concerned about the polyp. He inserted a camera through my cervix, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, to have a look and get a biopsy. When he was in there he said because of its size and position it was too difficult so he ended the procedure. During the post exam discussion he said that in my circumstance's he wants to offer me a full hysterectomy as he feels that surgery to remove the polyp would end up in a hysterectomy anyway and doesnt feel that I should be put through both surgeries.

    I have been given a date in April, pending a further ca125 test in March. If the results of that have increased I'll have to have a ct scan prior to surgery to rule out cancer elsewhere in my body.
