My quite concerned about a family member. She has had lump under her arm for months, the GP thinks it’s a cyst & prescribed antibiotics but this made no difference. The doctor then referred her to a dermatologist to get the lump removed, the dermatologist raised concerned and didn’t want to touch until she actually knew what it was and suggested an ultrasound. The ultrasound was done just over 3 weeks ago and the radiologist raised concerns and found another lump and asked the gp to make an urgent referral to the breast clinic. This was done 3 weeks ago today under the ‘2 week wait breast referral’. No appointment has still been made, my family member got a text a couple of weeks ago to say the appointment would be arranged as soon as the they have clinic capacity to arrange the appointment. 

How long should the appointment take to come through? Its so worry and the wait and not knowing just makes things worse. What have peoples experiences been like?
