- Part 1. Age 53, diagnosed bladder cancer Sept 08, secondary cancers found and inoperable. Chemo caused strokes and only ever had one kidney so nephrostomy to help it drain. No more long hot baths and swimming as a result booh! Love leaves and waves and mountains, posh chocolate and big dogs and fireworks. A bit Buddhist...all things in moderation My philosphy is to feel and share as much joy as I can every day I have left and as I'm short of friends and loved ones to do this with then strangers will have to do ha ha! I've started writing a blog... todaywasntallaboutcancer.blogspot.com because it's not! Part 2. 11 months later...recent scans showed tumour shrinkage and managed to persuade surgeon to perform op March 2012 they said 'wasn't worth it' three and a half years earlier. Now a urostomate and can splish splash as much as I like...woohoo!
