- I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2011 I have been through chemo and a mastectomy and am happily recovering from my surgery ( not without my aches and pains and moans :) ) I was surrounded by strangers who took over my life and dictated what I should do and when... surrounded by amazing friends who gave me the strength to remain positive throughout my saga. I looked great bald :) However the hair has grown back, not worried about it being grey...... But bouffant ????
